Super Falcons vow to fight on, depart for Rennes early tomorrow

Super Falcons Coaches and players have vowed to continue to work hard to win more matches in the competition with their next game against the host country, France in Rennes on June 17.

Speaking after the heartwarming 2-0 victory over South Korea in Grenoble, Head Coach Thomas Dennerby stated that the players kept to the match strategy hence they achieved a good result today in the match at Stade des Alpes.

According to him his team has learnt a hard lesson from the failure against Norway and will continue work hard to avoid such costly mistakes.

Dennerby however assured that the Super Falcons will remain focused until the job is done, adding that he believes in the players to deliver the goods.\

In her reaction Falcons Captain, Desire Oparanozie said that determination and personal efforts helped the Falcons to beat South Korea in a match many had written off the team.

For young goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnnadozie the victory is a collective efforts of the entire team and she is grateful to God for granting Nigeria victory today to still be in the competition.

In their reactions, assistant coaches, Justin Madugu and Auwal Makwalla, a goalkeeper trainer, the team can only get better as everyone in the team is working hard to achieve better results in the next game.

Meanwhile, the Super Falcons will depart their Mercure Hotel President Grenoble tomorrow morning for Rennes where they will next Monday, June 17 confront France. The team will be airlifted to Rennes by air.
