Soto Clips Flying Eagles wings, USA beat Nigeria 2-0

A brace from Sabastin Soto was all that the United States of America (U SA) needed to beat Africa giants, Nigeria in their second group match of the on-going FIFA Youth World Cup in Poland.

Soto scored in each half with his second goal coming just three minutes after the half time break when the Coach Paul Aigbogun’s boys guilty of ball-watching when the sleek Amrican No.9 easily beating Nigeria’s goalkeeper, Ade Oremade who was already sprawling on the turf.

The Flying Eagles put up a mediocre performance with all the players not living up to the pre-tournament ratings, although the signs were there that the team lacked some basic tactics to play a highly technical team like the USA team.

Nigeria which defeated Qatar 4-0 in the first group match will play the last group match on Thursday with the group leaders, Ukraine. Ukraine defeated Qatar today to garner 6 points from two games after beating USA in the first match.
