From Harry Awurumibe, Live in Rabat, Morocco
After leading his team to beat Puerto Rico 2-0 on Tuesday at Pitch 4 of Mohammed VI Football Complex in Rabat, the Flamingos head coach Busari Hakeem Ishola said they have turned their attention to the crucial Group B last match against high-flying North Korea on Friday, October 23, 2026, Prompt News reports.
Speaking exclusively from the team’s camp on Wednesday,  Busari revealed that the team has gone through the recovery routine, engaged in team discussion session to review the last match
and will tomorrow hold the last training to perfect match tactics ahead of the important clash against North Korea with maximum six points from two matches.
North Korea thrashed Puerto Rico 6-0 in the first Group B match before walloping Poland 6-1 on Tuesday to seat unchallenged on top of the group chart with Nigeria in the second place with three points plus difference of one goal while Poland with three points has minus four goals difference just as Puerto Rico has no point.
As it stands, Nigeria needs a draw or try not to concede scandalously to the defending champions of FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. The country has reached the final of the competition on eight occasions and won a record of four titles in 2008, 2016, 2024, and 2025.
Despite North Korea’s pedigree, Flamingos coach is not thinking too much about the opposition but concentrating on what strategy to deploy to outfox the Asian giants.
