EXCLUSIVE: Super Falcons get top European Video Analyst

Determined to give the Super Falcons adequate preparations to enable the team to win the 13th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) holding in Morocco from July 5 to 26, 2025, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) under the leadership of Ibrahim Musa Gusau has again engaged a top European Video Analyst/ Match Reader, Igor Krulj to beef up the technical crew of the Nigerian team, Prompt News has exclusively gathered.

Krulj, a UEFA Pro License coach and Chief Scout of IFK Värnamo, a premier league club in Sweden, was recently hired by the NFF alongside Per Karlsson, a Fitness/Conditioning coach who joined the Super Falcons last month in Ijebu-Ode camp for the last month’s international friendly match  between Nigeria and Cameroon in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
Also, the former head coach of Halmstads BK who speaks perfect English, Swedish and Serbo-Croatian, has been involved in Swedish elite football for the past eleven years in roles such as Coach and Sports Director at Örgryte just as he used PlaymakerAI for data analysis and scouting.
The 36 year-old citizen of  Sweden as a video analyst will utilize video analysis extensively to enhance Super Falcons’ performance, with a strong emphasis on both individual player development and team tactics.
He is to employ a high-tech approach, using systems like Spiideo to record and analyze training sessions and matches, making it readily available for review by the coaches.
Meanwhile, the two  technical experts who will join the Super Falcons camp in Portugal on Sunday will work in synergy with the Nigerian coaches comprising head coach Justin Madugu, his assistant Ann Agumanu-Chiejine and goalkeeper trainer Auwal Makwalla, to prepare the nine-time African champions well for WAFCON 2024 campaign.
