No fewer than six Morocco-bound countries, including Nigeria’s Group B opponents, Botswana, will be engaged in high-profile international friendly matches during the May 26 to June 3, 2025, FIFA international match calendar.
Prompt News reports that while the nine-time African champions Nigeria will be busy clashing with old rivals Cameroon in a double-header international friendlies, Botswana, the country’s Group B opponents in the CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) finals will confront Zambia at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, May 31, 2025, as part of their preparations ahead of the biggest African women’s football competition.
Recall the Super Falcons will play host to the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in a two-match friendlies scheduled for Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo on Saturday, May 31 and Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, both in Ogun state of Nigeria.
Elsewhere, it will be a battle of two West African rivals as Ivory Coast senior women’s football team trade tackles with Ghana Black Queens in Abidjan on Friday, May 30, in Abidjan. Both will again meet in Abidjan on June 3, 2025.
Also, African reigning champions, South Africa, and their neighbours Zambia will clash in tough duel at home on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
