BREAKING! Super Falcons defender Ogbonna joins Sweden’s IFK Kalmar

Done Deal….Super Falcons defender Akudo Esther Ogbonna receives her new club jersey from head coach, Zacharias Svensson on arrival on Thursday at IFK Kalmar club house in Kalmar, Sweden.

Sweden’s women football league club, IFK Kalmar today (Thursday) handed jersey number 18 to Super Falcons defensive midfielder, Akudo Esther Ogbonna shortly after she arrived the Scandinavian country from Lagos.

The Nigerian international  who plays for Remo Ladies FC in the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) moved to IFK Kalmar on summer transfer which will see her ply her trade with the Elitettan club till the end of the 2024 season.
Ogbonna who left Nigeria  aboard Air France on Wednesday was received at Kastrup Airport in nearby Copenhagen, Denmark by Nicklas Andersson, IFK Kalmar, Manager while her jersey number was handed over to her by head coach, Zacharias Svensson at the club house in Kalmar, Sweden.
The ex-Falconets ace will be introduced to the rest of the team on Friday.
