WAFCON 2022: Nigeria, Cameroon clash headlines juicy quarter final matches

No Way…Two Cameroonian defenders try to out-muscle Nigerian veteran midfielder Ngozi Okobi-Okoghene in a previous WAFCON clash. Both teams will meet again in Casablanca on Thursday.

After two days of rest, the quarter finals of the ongoing 2022 Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) will kick off on Wednesday July 13, 2022, as all eyes will be on the epic clash between defending champions, Super  Falcons of Nigeria and Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon on Thursday at Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca.

The crucial quarter final matches will take place at the
three venues  hosting the games in Morocco. They are; Stade Mohammed V, Casablanca; Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium and Stade Moulay Hassan in  Rabat.
Our sister publication, Prompt News reports that in the Day 1 of the quarter finals on Wednesday, Copper Queens of Zambia will face Senegal’s Teranga Lionesses in the first game billed for Stade Mohammed V, Casablanca, while host Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses will slug it out with Mares of Botswana at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat.
The Day 2 of the quarter finals on Thursday, will see Cameroon
trading tackles with  eternal rivals, Nigeria in the first game, while South Africa lock horns with Tunisia in the second game slated for Stade Moulay Hassan, Rabat.

• Wed. 13/07. Zambia vs Senegal 18:00 -Stade Mohammed V, Casablanca.
• Wed. 13/07. Morocco vs Botswana 21:00- Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat.
• Thur. 14/07. Cameroon vs Nigeria 18:00 -Stade Mohammed V, Casablanca.
• Thur. 14/07. South Africa vs Tunisia 21:00 -Stade Moulay Hassan, Rabat).
All Times are in West Africa Standard Time {same as Nigeria Time (+1 GMT)}.
