NFF staff hosts colleague, Ruth David on her birthday

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Acting Director of Competitions, Ms. Ruth David on Friday received a surprise birthday gifts from the staff of the federation who hosted a small but impressive birthday party for her.

The impromptu party which was organised by mainly the female members of NFF staff to show love to their colleague took her by surprised as her birthday comes up on Saturday, June 11, 2022.

The event which took place in the General Secretary’s  Conference Room at Sunday Dankaro House, Parkage B of MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, was witnessed by NFF 1st Vice President, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi.

An elated David who was former NFF Head of Women’s Football Unit expressed her appreciation to her colleagues for the honour done her on the occasion of her birthday, although the party came 24 hours earlier.

According to her “my colleagues hosted my birthday one day ahead because June 11 fell on Saturday which is on a weekend hence they decided to do it on Friday, a day  ahead of my actual birthday but it was good for me”.

She therefore thanked everyone who contributed in anyway to the success of the party, saying that she is so grateful to all.

David is one of the long serving staff of the federation who has held several positions including Secretary of the National U-17, U-20 and Super Falcons teams before she was named the Head, Women’s Football Unit by the administration of Amaju Melvin Pinnick and later Head, International Competitions.

Her dedication to duty led to her elevation to the current position of NFF Acting Director of Competitions, a position she is handling with dignity for the Good of Nigeria Football.
