India 2022: Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, three others progress to last round play-off

Even without the dates and venues  for the first and second leg matches not fixed, Ethiopia will host Nigeria in the first leg tie in the final round of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2022 African qualifiers.

Also, Cameroon will take on Tanzania in the first leg match while Ghana will play at home first in the big clash against Morocco in the final play-off match.

Winners over two legs of the final rounds will qualify for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup final billed for India this summer.

The six countries, Nigeria, Morocco, Cameroon, Ghana, Tanzania and Ethiopia have over the weekend  secured their places in the final play-off round of the African qualifiers organised by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) after the third round, second leg matches were completed on Sunday, May 1.

To reach the final  round, Nigeria humiliated Egypt both at home and away as the  Flamingos thrashed the Egyptian girls 4-0 in the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja in the first leg.

In Cairo, Nigeria only needed early first half goals from Opeyemi Ajakaye 5′ and Amina Bello to seal their progression at the Petro Sport Stadium on 6-0 goals aggregate.
