Chelsea Football Club’s attacking midfielder, Hakim Ziyech has been sensationally dropped as Head Coach of Morocco national senior team, Vahid Halilodzic has announced the Atlas Lions squad that will compete in the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations, Cameroon 2021.
Accordingly, the Bosnian coach decided to give a debut call to Barcelona forward Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, after he recently excelled with the Catalan side but he closed the door on Ziyech who won the UEFA Champions Leaque 2020/2021 with Chelsea FC of England .
The most notable absentees aside Ziyech are Ajax defender, Noussair Mazraoui and Egypt- based duo Badr Benoun and Achraf Bencharki who were part of the Morocco side in the recently concluded FIFA Arab Cup in Qatar.
Morocco will play in TotalEnergies AFCON Group C alongside Ghana, Gabon and Comoros.
