Nigeria’s U-17 women’s national team, Flamingos are set to dump out
opponents, Guinea from the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup African qualifiers tomorrow in Lagos.
The Guinean team arrived Lagos yesterday evening ahead of the second leg of the first round of the qualifier tie slated at Agege stadium in Lagos.
PromptNews has exclusively gathered that the Guineans are in Nigeria to fulfil all righteousness as they believe that the woeful first leg loss at home has put them in difficult position against a strong Nigerian team.
With three points deficit and minus five goals after the 6-1 massacre in Conakry, Guineans are mathematically out of the competition as they need to score six goals without Nigeria scoring one to be able to eliminate the Flamingos.
Meanwhile, the Flamingos are ready for the Guinean clash in Agege stadium, Lagos tomorrow as the team has concluded its training sessions at the match venue in the early of Friday.
According to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Assistant Director, Technical, Addulrafiu Yusuf who is supervising the team on behalf of the Federation to ensure total victory for the team, everything that needs to be done has been done for the success of the Flamingos on Saturday.
“I believe that the coaches have prepared the team well to win the match in Lagos so we have nothing to fear”, Yusuf popularly called Mr. Planner said today in a chat.
