African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) Ghana 2018 finalist, South Africa will take on the host of Olympics Tokyo 2020, Japan in an international friendly match on November, 10.
South Africa Football Association (SAFA) has confirmed that the Grade A match will take place during the next FIFA international break despite Banyana Banyana’s shocking exit in the on-going CAF Women’s Olympic Qualifiers.
South Africa was one of the three African representatives in the last summer’s FIFA Women’s World Cup final inFrance. Nigeria and Cameroon were the other two nations.
Meanwhile, no other African Football Association or Federation has fixed a match for their senior women’s national teams during the many FIFA international windows that have opened in the recent time.
