After several hours of flight delay, the Super Falcons arrived Lagos last night alongside their Cote d Ivoire opponents to prepare for Monday’s second leg of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics women’s football tournament African qualifier match slated for Agege stadium, Lagos.
The Nigeria delegation comprising of18 players, coaching and backroom staff as well as a few Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)secretariat officials returned to the country aboard Air Cote d Ivoire fight from Abidjan which also brought the Ivoriens for the crucial match.
Both teams will resume training at Agege Stadium immediately as they have only 48 hours to prepare for the win or burst game on Monday.
African champion, Super Falcons were on Thursday at the Parc des Sports de Treichville in Abidjan held to a barren draw by the Ivoriens in the frist leg tie with both teams creating several opportunities but failed to find the back of the net.
