The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) finally released the date and venues for the AITEO Cup Round 64 with former FA Cup winner, Shooting Stars of Ibadan versus Osun United FC match slated for Ado Ekiti, Ekiti state on Saturday, May 25.
According to a statement from the NFF today the Round of 64 matches will hold from May 25 to June13 when the last match of the round in the AITEO Cup Women’s category between Kaduna Queens FC and Abia Angels FC will be decided at Lokoja, Kogi state. All the other 8 matches in the women category will be played on June 12 across the country.
In the interim, other matches scheduled for Saturday in the men cadre are Yobe Desert Feeder against Smart City FC in Minna; Ekiti United versus Ebonyi United in Ugwashi-Uku. Amanda FC, Owerri will take on Calabar Rovers in Abakiliki while FC De Leo, Benin will confront EFCC Boys , Abuja in Ilorin.
However, the “big teams” such as defending champions of the AITEO Cup, Enugu Rangers International, Kano Pillars which finished second to Rangers last year and Two-time CAF Champios League champions-Enyimba International of Aba as well as AKwa United, Plateau United, Abia Warriors, Nasarawa United, El Kanemi Warriors, Lobi Stars and all the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) teams will start their own campaign on June 12.
