JUST IN: Super Falcons’ WAFCON 2024 busy schedule starts in Lisbon

Super Falcons’preparations for the 13th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) holding in Morocco from July 5 to 26, 2025, will kick off later this morning when the team will embark on a light workout to shake off the jet lag after a long journey from Abuja to Casablanca and another one hour 25 minutes trip from Mohammed VI International Airport in Casablanca to Terminal 1,

General Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon on Sunday evening 17:49 pm local time aboard Royal Air Maroc flight.

Prompt News exclusively gathered that no fewer than 16 players spent the night in the team’s hotel even as more players are expected to arrive camp before the much-advertised FIFA-approved international friendly match later today between Nigeria and host Portugal at Estádio José Gomes in Amadora.

The players and team officials were preparing for their first breakfast in Portugal at the time of this report. They will rest a bit before going for the light workout, probably at the match venue in Amadora.
