Super Falcons to play in Casablanca as CAF releases WAFCON 2024 match schedule

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Friday announced the match schedule of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), Morocco 2024 holding from July 5 to 26, 2025 with 12 countries including the host, Morocco participating.
This is even as nine-time African champions, Super Falcons of Nigeria will play all their group stage matches at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium, in Morocco’s commercial city of Casablanca. The West Africans will open their campaign against Tunisia on Sunday, July 6, then take on Botswana in their second group game four days later while they will play the final group match against Algeria on Sunday, July 13, 2025.

According to CAF and the Morocco Local Organising  Committee (LOC) the opening match will be played on Saturday, July 5, 2025 between hosts Morocco and Zambia at the newly built Olympic Stadium in Rabat at 21h00 local time (20h00 GMT).

On the following day, there will be three matches, including the most successful African Women’s National Team, Nigeria, up against Tunisia at 17h00 local time while the defending champions South Africa will begin their title defence on Match Day 3 (July 7), facing Ghana in a Group C opener at the Honneur Stadium in Oudja, while Mali and Tanzania will round off the day’s fixtures with an exciting evening encounter in Berkane.

The Final will be played on July 26, 2026 at 21h00 in Rabat at the Olympic Stadium.
