BREAKING: Lionesses invade Ijebu-Ode for Falcons

The Indomitable Lionesses’ contingent made up of 23 players, coaching crew, backroom staff, and some administrative officials from the country’s football governing body FECAFOOT are expected to arrive Ijebu-Ode abode of the Super Falcons later today ahead of Saturday’s first leg of the double-header international friendlies between Nigeria and Cameroon at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun state.
The second match between  the two old foes will be played next Tuesday, June 3. 2025, at the refurbished MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, as both teams are using the matches to prepare for future football challenges the forthcoming CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) holding in Morocco from July 5 to 26, 2025.
Prompt News exclusively gathered that the Cameroonians who will arrive in Nigeria today from Doula aboard Cameroon Airlines will be taken from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos straight to Am2pm Hotel and Suites in Ijebu-Ode, where the Super Falcons are already nestling since Monday when the camp opened.
The itinerary of the visiting team includes the mandatory training at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo, venue of the match on Saturday, although it was not clear what time they will choose to train to have feel of the pitch where the Super Falcons have been training twice daily since Wednesday.
