Ghana, Morocco, other WAFCON 2025-bound teams test skills against tough opposition

No fewer than 10 African  women’s senior national teams, including the African reigning champions South Africa, will be in action on todayy as the March-April FIFA Women’s International Match Window closes on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
After losing to Thailand 3-2 last week, the Copper Queens of Zambia will play Uzbekistan at Yongchuan Sports Center in China just as African reigning champions, Banyana Banyana of South Africa that thrashed Malawi 3-0 last Friday will again tackle Malawi tomorrow at home.
Also, Egypt will take on Jordan in the reverse fixture of the first match, which Egypt won 3-0 in Cairo while Senegal and Ghana will square up for the second time in a week in the city of Thiès. Morocco will battle Cameroon just as Ivory Coast and Kenya will meet again after the Ivorians won the first match 2-0.
Meanwhile, the next FIFA women’s international match windows are as follows:
1.May 26/ June 3 (2 matches)
2.June 23/July 5 (2,3,4 matches)
3.July 2-27 (UEFA Women’s Euro 2025)
4.July 12/ August 2 (Copa América Femenina)
5.October 20-29 (2 or 3 matches)
6.November 24/December 2, 2025 (2 matches).
