CAF promises bumper African football in 2025, releases key dates

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has promised the entire continent and football fans across the globe of

bumper African football in 2025 as it has also released the key dates of upcoming competitions within the year.

Interestingly, Nigerian teams have qualified for most of the eight CAF football competitions of 2025 including the 𝗖𝗔𝗙 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 (CHAN) meant for players playing in the domestic leagues in Africa just as the Super Falcons and Super Eagles have also qualified for 𝗖𝗔𝗙 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (WAFCON) and  𝗖𝗔𝗙 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (AFCON) respectively.

Prompt News reports that key dates for football competitions in Africa this year as confirmed by CAF are as follows:

1. 𝗖𝗔𝗙 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 (CHAN): February 1 – 28.

2. 𝗖𝗔𝗙 𝗨𝟭𝟳 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: 30 March – 19 April.

3. 𝗖𝗔𝗙 𝗨𝟮𝟬 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: 26 April – 18 May.

4. 𝗖𝗔𝗙 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝘂𝗽: 16 August (2024) – 25 May.

5. 𝗖𝗔𝗙 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲: 16 August (2024) – 1 June.

6. 𝗖𝗔𝗙 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: July 5 – 26.
