Apparently not afraid to dare the “big names” during his rebuilding process of what has been termed ‘New Face of Super Falcons’, head coach Justin Madugu has dropped Nigeria’s number one goalkeeper and Paris FC shot-stopper, Chiamaka Cynthia Nnadozie to the bench in the second leg tie of the double-header international friendly match between Nigeria and Algeria’s Les Fennecs slated for Mobolaji Johnson Arena at Onikan, Lagos this afternoon.
Also, the experienced gaffer has made five changes in the team that beat Algeria 2-0 in the first leg of the friendlies at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun state last Saturday with onky four overseas professionals starting the match in Lagos.
They are captain Rasheedat Ajibade of Atletico Madrid, Spain; defender Oluwatosin Demehin of Galatasaray Sportive FC, Turkey; Esther Onyenezide of Hapoel Katamon Jerusalem, Israel and Gift Monday of UDG Tenerife Egatesa, Spain.
Madugu opted to cap rocky goalkeeper Udoka Rachel Nnachukwu; defender Comfort Folorunsho; midfielders Sukurat Oladipo and Josephine Mathias as well as striker Goodness Osigwe. They replaced fellow home-based Usani Miracle, Olise Chioma, Isa Sikiratu and Omoku Mercy who started in Ikenne last week.
Prompt News reports that both Super Falcons and Les Fennecs have already arrived at Onikan waterfront for the match which will kick off by 2 pm.
