CAF Security Czar, Emeruwa delivers Adeyemi Varsity @60 Alumni Lecture

**Receives Distinguished Alumnus Award

The authorities of Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo state has invited the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Head of Safety and Security in Cairo,  Egypt, Christian Emeruwa, Ph.D as the Keynote Speaker at the Grand Finale of the 60th Year Anniversary of the institution scheduled for 8 am at Olusegun Obasanjo Auditorium on Friday, May  24, 2024.

Prompt News reports that Emeruwa whose lecture will address contemporary challenges of leadership, education and youth/students was chosen by the Adeyemi Federal University of Education Ondo Alumni Association in partnership with the university management.

According to the letter inviting him to undertake such big assignment signed by Charles Omotayo, Ph.D, Acting National Secretary of the Alumni Association, Emeruwa was selected because of his international exposure and wealth of experience as a one-time President of Students Union Government of Adeyemi Federal University of Education Ondo as well as a distinguished personality in sports development in Africa.

Aside delivering the Alumni Lecture, Emeruwa will as part of the events for the celebration of the Adeyemi@60 receive two prestigious awards from his alma mater. They are  ‘Distinguished Alumnus Award’ and ‘Distinguished Students Union Leader Award’ which will be bestowed on him by the university’s Alumni Association and SUG respectively.

The highpoint of  the institution’s Diamond Anniversary Celebration which started on Monday,  May 20 with a Road Show and World Press Conference in the school,  will be the “Diamond Anniversary Celebration Lecture” to be delivered by the Executive Governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa at Olusegun Obasanjo Auditorium on Saturday, May 25, 2024.

Also, the university will on the day bestow awards to  60 Distinguished Alumnus who have impacted the university just as the activities will end on Sunday with Thanksgiving Service at the Christ Chapel of the University.

Meanwhile, the authorities of Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo state has    in recognition of the footprints he left in the institution on Friday named a popular road in the university after Dr  Chris Emeruwa who started his educational journey from the school before acquiring higher certificates at the prestigious University of Ibadan, University of Witwatersrand , South Africa, Institute of Sports Management Australia, International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS) Doha, Qatar and SRH Heidelberg University Germany.
