JUST IN: Super Falcons arrive Rabat as training starts tomorrow

Reigning African  champions, Super Falcons of Nigeria have arrived Rabat, the capital city of the Kingdom of  Morocco ahead the 12th CAF Women’s Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) which kicks off on Saturday, July 2. It will end on Saturday, July 23, 2022.

A Nigerian  delegation of 36 persons comprising of 25 players and 11 officials including five coaches, two medical personal, and four backroom staff travelled from the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos to Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca earlier on Monday.

On hand in Casablanca to receive Nigeria’s senior women’s  team were officials of the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Local Organising Committee (LOC) who provided vehicles to transport the delegation from Casablanca to Rabat.

The team’s itinerary obtained by Sportsrevelation revealed that training will commence on Tuesday at the designated training site in Rabat.

But that will be after the team had undergone the documentation processes with accreditation and medical procedures top priority.

Meanwhile, it was exclusively gathered that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) officials will join the team on or before Nigeria versus South Africa  opener in Rabat on Monday, July 4.

Nigeria’s next Group C matches are against two newcomers-

Burundi and Botswana also in Rabat.
