No fewer than seven countries including Egypt will compete in the 2021 Arab Women’s Championship (AWC) which will hold in Cairo from August 24 to September 6.
Information obtained by Sportsrevelation has revealed that the draw for the competition has already been concluded by the organisers.
The seven participating nations have been split into two groups with host country, Egypt, Tunisia, Sudan and Lebanon slotted in Group A while Algeria, Jordan and Palestine are in Group B.
It was also gathered that the Arab tournament is part of the region’s deliberate attempt to promote women’s football in the Arab world.
