Done deal…Nigeria’s Rasheedat Ajibade in Athletico Madrid colours.

The need to play in a bigger club was the motivating factor for Super Falcons rising star, Rasheedat Ajibade to switch allegiance to Spanish giants, Athletico Madrid Feminino.

The former FC Robo of Lagos forward, Ajibade had few days ago  joined the Spanish women’s football league top side, Athletico on a two-year contract.
Ajibade made public her new club via her Twitter handle as she ended her two-year contract with Avaldsnes Idrettslag of Norway where she scored 12 goals in 37 appearances across two seasons.
But Sportsrevelation has gathered that the desire to play in the more competitive league formed the basis Ajibade dumped the Norwegian league.
She confirmed this argument saying: “It is a great privilege and joy for me to join a great club Atletico Madrid Feminino,” which has been my dream club.
“It is an opportunity I will never joke with , and I am ready to give my best to this great club,” she tweeted.
The former Flamingos striker and captain however thanked God, family members and friends who have been supportive for showing her love.
