The Federation of International Football (FIFA) inspection team touring countries bidding to host the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup final will tomorrow round off their work in New Zealand which is presenting a joint bid with Australia.
The FIFA team had kicked off the inspection of facilities in Australia on February 17 where the Football Federation Australia leadership received them. They have carried out their jobs for the past five days and will conclude the assignment in New Zealand tomorrow before leaving for Japan where the delegation will also inspect the facilities in the Asian country.
According to the schedule obtained by sportsrevelation.com.ng, the FIFA Inspection team will stay three days in Japan as the Japan Football Association (JFA) will take the delegation round the proposed facilities from February 24 to 27.
The FIFA Inspection team started touring bid nations since January 29 to February 1 in Colombia before landing in Brazil to inspect their facilities from February 3 to 6 respectively.
The world football ruling body will announce the country or countries that will host the 32-team global soccer fiesta at a later date,
The dates for the FIFA inspection visits are:
* Colombian Football Association (29 January – 1 February)
* Brazilian Football Confederation (3 February – 6 February)
* Football Federation Australia and New Zealand Football (17 February – 22 February)
* Japan Football Association (24 February – 27 February)
