India 2020: Falconets opponent emerges, Guinea host Nigeria February 28 in Conakry

Nigeria’s opponent in the first round of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2020 African qualifiers, Guinea at the weekend held Guinea Bissau to a 3-3 draw to qualify to meet Nigeria on March 28 in continuation of the qualifying campaigns.
Guinea had earlier defeated Guinea Bissau 5-0 at Stade 28 Septembre, Conakry in the first leg of the preliminary tie only to go to Estadio 24 de Setembro in Bissau last weekend to hold the host country to 3-3 draw to move to the next round on 8-3 goals aggregate.
T he results showed that Guinea will not be an easy meat for Nigeria to chew when both clash in Conakry in exactly one month from now just as the Falconets are yet to open camp to prepare for the trip to Guinea for the first leg of the first round.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has fixed March 13, 2020 for the return leg of the match in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, seven other countries that qualified for the first round of the qualifiers are Morocco, Botswana, Tanzania, Uganda and Liberia as well as Zambia and Sao Tome Et Principe who booked their tickets after their opponents, Namibia and DR Congo withdrew from the competition.
