Costa Rica/Panama 2020: South Africa beats Zimbabwe, Ethiopia massacres Burundi 5-0, today

Expectedly, South Africa’s U-20 women’s team made their experience to count today in Lusaka when they beat neighbours, Zambia 2-0 in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Costa Rica /Panama 2020 preliminary round first leg qualifying match.
Zambia’s U-20 coach Charles Haluboono had boasted that his side are determined to use home ground advantage to the fullest against South Africa when both countries clash in this weekend’s tie but the reverse was the case as the South Africans scored two un-replied goals away from home to make the return leg in their home turf a mere academic exercise.
Elsewhere, Ethiopia’s U-20 women’s team went goals crazy as they massacred their host, Burundi 5-0 in Bujumbura Blantyre to put fears in the minds of even their next round opponents even when the second leg has not been played in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Also, in Ouagadougou today, the U-20 women’s team of Burkina Faso defeated upcoming Gambia 3-2 to have the bragging right going into the return leg in Bakau, Gambia just as Malawi and Zimbabwe played a 1-1 draw in Blantyre for both nations to keep hope alive prior to the second leg this month end.
