The Honourable Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Mr. Sunday Akin Dare on Friday met with the Members of Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) led by Mr. Melvin Amaju Pinnick and the General Secretary, Dr, Mohammed Sanusi.
The crucial meeting which was at instance of the minister, was to interface with the NFF towards achieving smooth football administration in the country as well as chart a more dynamic focus.
Following extensive deliberations, the meeting which was held at Obasanjo Hall, Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Federal Secretariat, Abuja and which was attended by the 15- Executive Board Member of the NFF resolved that there should be a commitment to among other things:
To chart a new direction in NFF, to reposition the domestic league, to reposition youth development in football and to work with the ministry towards early preparations for participations in tournaments and championships.
Also contained in the communique jointly signed by Hon. Dare and Pinnick are that there should be a commitment to reach out to all factions with the view to having an amicable of all problems; to ensure efficient management of resources and deepening private investment in sports development and to ensure the NFF Bill now with National Assembly is transmitted without delay to Mr. President for Assent among other things.
