Determined to back the Super Falcons Head Coach, Thomas Dennerby to grind out a win over host Algeria, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has granted the Swedish tactician his request to invite a couple of overseas-based players for the forthcoming 2020 Olympics Women’s Football Tournament qualifying match away to Blida on Wednesday, August 28, 2019.
Sources close to the NFF today disclose that the approval to invite some foreign-based players has been communicated to the coach who has since opened his camp in Abuja with a handful of the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) stars.
It was also learned that the invited players are expected to hit Falcons Abuja camp from next week just in time to blend with other players in camp before the team will fly out to Algeria.
The return leg in Nigeria has been scheduled for the Agege Stadium Lagos on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, starting from 4pm even as FIFA has appointed Zomadre Kore from Cote d’Ivoire to be the referee.
