France, Netherlands qualify for the U-20 Women’s World Cup 2020

The U-19 women’s football teams of France and Netherlands have advanced to UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship semi-finals and have also by this achievement qualified for  the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup billed for 2020 in a yet to be determined country.

They join Germany and Spain as Europe’s four teams at next year’s world finals

France and the Netherlands are the final two European teams to win through to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2020 after both sides advanced to the UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship Scotland 2019 semi-finals.

The two sides join Germany and Spain as the continent’s four qualified teams for next year’s U-20 women’s showpiece event.

Hosts at the most recent U-20 Women’s World Cup, France ensured they will be competing at next year’s global finals by finishing top of Group A.

Coach Gilles Eyquem’s side edged Scotland 2-1 and beat the Netherlands 3-1, before drawing 3-3 with Norway to finish first with seven points
