We Don Get Alert…Super Falcons dancing after they were paid in France
Contrary to the false impressions created by the Super Falcons in France and around the world of none payment of their entitlements, more facts have emerged that the team is not being owed a dime as the time of this report.
Our investigations revealed that the team made up of players, coaches and backroom staffers have all been paid all their entitlements to date. They included match bonuses, camp allowances and tickets refunds among others.
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Head of Women’s Football Unit, Miss Ruth David has exclusively revealed that every member of the Super Falcons have been paid to the last kobo. She stated that no member of the team can boldly claim that he or she did not receive all the entitlements due to him or her.
“Yes, I want to confirm that Super Falcons have been paid all their monies. The federation does not owe anybody again. Even the extra five days they were demanding in France after they were eliminated by Germany in the Round of 16 has been paid the players, coaches and backroom staff”, David insisted.
According to her “NFF has paid them everything including the camp allowances in Austria before landing in France as they demanded. In fact, the federation has cleared all the bonuses and match allowances from 2016 to date so nobody should deceive the public that they have not been paid all their entitlements “.
She insisted that Head Coach Thomas Dennerby and his technical crew have received their monies in full while the players have got theirs including the outstanding payments from 2016.
The NFF chieftain also hinted that the federation has also compiled the outstanding payments of the other two national women’s football teams- Falconets and Flamingos, adding that they will be paid as soon as funds are available to it.
Said she “NFF has never deliberately refused to pay the team instead the little delays happen when funds meant for such purposes have not reached the federation’s coffers. So it is an unfair comment to say that the federation refused to pay the teams”.
It can be recalled that the NFF through the Director of Communications, Ademola Olajire have recently released a detailed information on all the payments made to the Super Falcons up to their sojourn in France.
