The much anticipated clash of the giants between France and United States of America (USA) today in the second quarter final tie of the 8th FIFA Women’s World Cup is creating doubts in the minds of average French nationals.
For the French fans the mouth- watery encounter billed for the iconic Parc des Princes, Paris this evening has sent jitters down their spines for some reasons. They fear that the Americans are a big stage performers and being the defending champions of the FIFA Women’s World Cup will motivate them to take France out of the competition.
Those who gave their views like Arnaud Nicolas, a resident of Rennes said that Les Bleues will struggle against USA. He argued that France team, goalkeeper Sarah Bouhaddi is not as good as some goalkeepers in the competition including that of USA.
According to Nicolas Bouhaddi has not come out with big saves in four games, a situation he said may not give anybody confidence to support the team wholeheartedly.
Also Julien Georges of Rue de la Buron, Laval pointed out that France super stars players like Eugenie Le Sommer and captain, Amandine Henry have not done creditable well in the last four matches and may have to step up today if the French will defeat the Americans.
