Two days after Norway defeated Nigeria3-0 in Reims in the on-going 8th FIFA Women’s World Cup final in France, Super Falcons players and officials have picked themselves up from the loss and have promised to beat their next opponents, South Korea on Wednesday in Grenoble.
Some of the players who have expressed their optimism for a Nigeria’s victory over South Korea when both teams meet in their second Group A match are Super Falcons captain, Desire Oparanozie; winger, Francisca Ordega and defender, Onome Ebi.
Speaking on both the past and upcoming matches today in the team’s camp in Grenoble, Oparanozie who received a yellow card in the Nigeria versus Norway match on Saturday said that the team is focused on the next game and will work very hard to win the match against South Africa on June 12.
Also, Ordega who had a fantastic match against Norway said that lessons have been learnt and the team will fight hard to win the match when they take on the South Koreans on Wednesday.
Ordega also took to the social media platform to assure their fans that, “ Not the result we wanted but we gonna bounce back stronger…thanks for your support to all the franny lovers..@Grenoble, France”.
For defender Ebi, “Winners don’t give up. We fight till the end…”, she twitted @EBIONOME
