After two weeks of close camping at Avita Resort Center in Bad Tatzmannsdorf, Austria, the Nigeria delegation this afternoon departed Vienna International Airport for Paris, France ahead of the 8th FIFA Women World Cup which kicks off on Friday, June 7. It will end on July 7.
The delegation led by Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Head of Women Football Ms. Ruth David include the 23 players, handful of coaching and backroom staff left Austria at about 15:30hrs today.
On arrival at the Charles De Gulle International Airport in Paris, the FIFA Local Organising Committee (LOC) France 2019 will receive the delegation and move them to the base in Reims where Nigeria and Norway will clash on Saturday in their Group A opening match.
Nigeria will meet Korea Republic in Gronoble on June 12 while the last Group match will be against host country France on June 17 in Rennes.
Super Falcons Head Coach Thomas Dennerby and his assistants have used the two weeks residential camping in Austria to put the players through their paces before they left for France today.
