The Super Falcons Austria camp this morning went into wide jubilation with the arrival of two important players named in Nigeria’s strong 23-woman team for the 8th FIFA Women’s World Cup final which will start in France on June 7.

Three-time African Best Women’s Footballer, Asisat Lamina Oshoala and Chinwendu Veronica Ihezue who were delayed in Nigeria and China because of visa issues joined their colleagues early Sunday morning at  Avita Resort camp in the Austrian city of  Bad Tatzmannsdorf outside of Vienna.

While Oshoala who had last week played and scored for FC Barcelona Ladies in the UEFA Women’s Champions League loss to Lyon Ladies in Hungary but returned  to Nigeria to process her visa had slight delay, the long process of obtaining Austrian visa from China held Ihezue for a few days more.

But Nigeria’s Super Falcons Head Coach, Thomas Dennerby who had last Friday picked the final 23 players to represent Nigeria in the global football fiesta this summer in France named Oshoala and Ihezue both key members of the team who deservedly merited their places in the World Cup squad.

The Nigerians who are using the same facilities the Super Eagles used as training camp before the last FIFA World Cup in Russia will spend one more week to perfect their tactics and strategies before leaving for France on June 4.
