Ahead France 2019: South African Coach lists Kgatalana, 22 others for World Cup

South Africa’s Banyana Banyana Head Coach, Desiree Ellis has released the 23-woman team that fly the country’s flag in the 8th FIFA Women’s World Cup final in France this summer.

The former South Africa senior women’s football team star kept faith with the bulk of players who helped the Rainbow Nation qualify for the FIFA Women’s World Cup for the first after finishing second in the last Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) held in Ghana.

South Africa has been drawn in Group B with Germany, Spain and China.

The South Africa Squad

Goalkeepers : AndileDlamini, Kaylin Swart and Mapaseka Mpuru

Defenders: Lebogang Ramalepe, Nothando Vilakazi, Noko  Matlou, Janine van Wyk, Bambanani Mbane, Bongeka Gamede and Tiitsetso Makhubela.

Midfielders: Refiloe Jane, Mamello Makhabane, Karabo Dlamimi, Leandra Smeda, Busisiwe Ndimeni, Sibulele Holweni, Linda Motlhalo and Kholosa Biyana.

Attackers : Rhoda Mulaudzi, Amanda Mthandi, Thembi Kgatlana, Jermaine Seoposenwe and Ode Fulutudilu
