Super Falcons skipper, Desire Ugochi Oparanozie has tasked the team to bring home the coveted trophy at the endvof the 2nd edition of the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Abidjan 2019 football tournament which is being competed for by only players plying their trade in Africa.
The captain of the FIFA Women’s World Cup-bound Falcons main team challenged the Home-based players to rise up to the occasion to lift the WAFU Cup in Cote ‘d Iviore at their second attempt.
Speaking from her base in France, Oparanozie urged the girls to go to the Abidjan to bring the cup home, saying “Go ladies, counting on you to bring it home”.
Nigeria will tomorrow square up with Burkina Faso in the opening Group B match before meeting Niger Republic and Mali later in the tournament.
