Head Coach of Nigeria’s junior women’s football team,   the Flamingos has revealed that he is not afraid to tweak his team to suit the occasion when Nigeria meets Venezuela in the quarter-finals of the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup slated  for Pitch 4 of Mohammed VI Football Complex in Morocco on Sunday by 6 pm local time.

Speaking exclusively to Prompt News in Rabat ahead of the crucial clash with the North Americans, Busari hinted that he may tweak his startlist in the quarter-finals match against Venezuela if there is need to do so while still maintaining team cohesion.
The coach who is managing a national team of any kind for the first time in his coaching career insists that he is sticking to his game plans which have seen Nigeria record three wins out of four matches but will make changes when the need arises.
He revealed that he has no injury concerns as the players are all in top shape and rearing to go, a situation that has presented him with a hard choice yo make on who starts and who drops to the bench.
Busari has however warned his players against complacency ahead of what he said will be a tricky match against Venezuela tomorrow as the Flamingos set their sights on reaching the semi-finals.
Nigeria dispatched hard fighting Mexico 2-1 in the Round of 16 match on Thursday with goals from forward Oluebube Umejiaku in the 40th minute and midfielder Mary Dunstan in the 71st minute to qualify for the quarter-finals showdown against Venezuela although they pulled one back in the 90+8th minute.
The Flamingos rebounded from early group stage setback after suffering an opening day 2-1 defeat to Poland, the team bounced back strongly with a 2-0 victory over Puerto Rico and a big 3-1 win against defending champions North Korea in the last Group B epic encounter to advance past the group stage where Nigeria also eliminated Mexico to reach the quarter-finals.
Busari is optimistic of a Nigeria victory over the South Americans when both countries fight for the semi-finals ticket in Rabat tomorrow.
