Nigeria’s senior women’s football team, the Super Falcons now have a full house with the arrival of four overseas-based regular players ahead of the Friday’s first match of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics African qualifiers double-header against Comoros at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo.

Already in the Super Falcons’s camp in  Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state are the last batch of the invited players including the first-choice goalkeeper Chiamaka Cynthia Nnadozie of Brighton Hove & Albion, England and reserve goalie Comfort Chibuzo Erhabor of Portsmouth Ladies, England.

Completing the list are three forwards Gift Nyako Monday of  Washington Spirit, USA, Joy Ogochukwu

Omewa of BK Hacken, Sweden and Uchenna Grace Kanu who plays for Cruz Azul Femenil, Mexico.

With all the 26 invited players in Super Falcons camp, the interim head coach Augustine Owen Eguavoen who doubles as the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical Director now have his job cut out for him as Nigerians expect the 10-time African champions to bounce back from the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) debacle in Morocco last July to rout the hapless Comoros in both legs of the qualifiers.
