AFCON 2023: CAF Secretary, Mosengo-Omba arrives Cote d’Ivoire Tuesday for talks with Ivorien FA.

The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) General Secretary, Mr. Veron Mosengo-Omba will arrive in Cote d’Ivoire in the afternoon of Tuesday, June 7, 2022, for three day working visit to the country that will host TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023.

According to a press statement made available to journalists by CAF Media Department, Mosengo-Omba will lead a CAF delegation for key meetings in relations to the preparations for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Cote d’Ivoire 2023.

The statement also said that on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, CAF will meet Ivorian Football Federation and the government of Cote d’Ivoire.

The following day, the CAF delegation will hold further meetings with the Local Organising Committee (LOC) and later visit two stadiums and some sites that will be used for the competition.

Meanwhile, CAF has said there will be an opportunity for media interviews with the General Secretary on Thursday, June 9, 2022 during the stadium visits.

“CAF and Ivorian Football Federation will make further announcement on the times of the visits and meetings.”, the statement revealed.
