JUST IN: Full-strength Super Falcons start training in Casablanca

Nigeria’s Super Falcons will commence full training sessions with all the invited players, a few hours after the  team arrived in Casablanca for their final preparations for the 13th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) holding in Morocco from July 5 to 26, 2025, Prompt News reports.

The nine-time African champions, after honouring an international friendly match played on Monday in Amadora against Portugal’s senior women’s team which ended in a barren draw, will leave the General Humberto Delgado International Airport in Lisbon by 7:35 pm today.

The Nigerian delegation will

arrive at Mohammed VI International Airport in Casablanca by 9 pm local time aboard Royal Air Maroc flight after 1 hour and 25 minutes trip which covers a distance of 386 miles. They will drive straight to the team’s camp arranged by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in Casablanca where they will stay for the Sunday’s prestige friendly against West African arch-rivals Ghana’s Black Queens.

Already United States-based players including Michelle Alozie of Houston Dash and Deborah Abiodun, who plays for Dallas Trinity FC have landed in Casablanca, ahead of the arrival of the Super Falcons today.
